This epic episode with the iconic Portrait Photographer Gregory Heisler is now LIVE, on all your podcast players.
We're sorry this one was a few days late, as you all know we normally broadcast on the 1st and 15th of each month, but this one just required a little more wait time.
THE GOOD NEWS! - Greg gave us so much of his time to talk about his 40 year career that we've turned this into a double episode. EP51 & EP52. Amazing!
In his time Gregory has photographed no less than 74 Covers for TIME Magazine on top of all the other Portraits and advertising work he has covered in his time. He is a Photographer, Author, Educator and now a Professor; his book 50 Portraits is amazing, so full of Portraits that really show the individuals and their personalities with amazing grace and style that carry such an immense impact.
This book can be found on Amazon stores everywhere - see links below.
These 2 episodes share how Greg started, some incredible stories of his journey, his assisting days with Arnold Newman and how he got to where he is today.
In part 2 we dive deeper into Greg's ideas and thoughts to how he creates his beautiful portraits and why he shoots his subjects the way he does. It'll certainly make you think of things a little more and possibly in a different way.
These episodes are full of education and a back to earth learning curve about Photography, the way we shoot and the industry of past compared to today. Greg is a photographer I always looked up to in my early days and is just iconic in the portrait world. We really can't thank him enough for giving us over 3 hours of his time for these interviews, he's such a lovely giving and humble chap and if we were closer I'm sure we would be having a beer together by now.
